Big Brother 8 Housemates

Amanda and Sam

First and second to enter the house together. 18 year old , Barbie-loving blonde twins. It is unclear whether they count as one or two housemates for nomination and eviction. They both thought that the diary room was a tanning room. They both describe themselves as "twincredible". Five minutes younger than her sister, Amanda is the more dominant of the pair. Sam is more level-headed. Or so she says.

Seen by the other housemates as the babies of the house. The twins were both picked by Gerry and Seany to nominate them in week 2.

Lesley

Third to enter the house. 60 year old former stand up comedian, Women's Institute member and former Cambridge don, who claims to know Prince Charles and Camilla.

Lesley never really fitted into the house, she had thoughts about leaving in the first few days. She Walked on Day 11.

Charley

Fourth to enter the house, she received boos from the crowd, who also chanted "get her out". It probably didnt help that she was posing to the paparazzi alot, it came across that she loved herself. She is a 21 year old former lap dancer, now unemployed IT girl, cousin to Man United footballer Kieran Richardson.

Tracey has caused friction in the house with most housemates, she comes across as having a gameplan and has took a dislike to Chanelle. Charley has formed a bitchy alliance with Shabnam.

Tracey

Fifth to enter the house. 36 year old pink-haired raver. She claims that on her eviction night she will wear only her birthday suit! Tracey is a peacemaker who can't remember ever losing her temper.

Tracey was rewarded on her Birthday with her very own rave party in the diary room.

Chanelle

Sixth to enter the house. 19 year old student, who is a Posh Spice wannabe.

Currently has a love interest with fellow housemate Ziggy.

Shabnam

Seventh to enter the house. 22 year old receptionist, who loves to clash her make-up. She thinks she might irritate her housemates with her boundless energy and zest for life.

is known for not doing much to help around the house. Shabnam has formed a bitchy alliance the Charley.

Emily

Eighth to enter the house. 19 year old student, who is told she looks like Peaches Geldolf. She'd like to write for Vogue, having given up her dream of becoming a fashion designer because she can't sew. Emily's hoping to find a gorgeous indie rocker man in the house.

Emily was ejected from the house in week one following her use of racisit language.

Laura

Ninth to enter the house. 23 year old nanny, who has tried to get on every Big Brother without success. Nicknamed 'Wangers' because of her big boobs. Laura is an absolute chatterbox who'll talk to anyone. She's not too keen on drinking alcohol, hates smokers, loves food and prefers drinking squash as it makes for a cheaper night out.

Nicky

Tenth to enter the house. 27 year old bank worker, who was orginally brought up in an orphanage in Mumbai India now lives in London. Her half brother plays Anwar in the series Skins. She's gobby and argumentative and speaks her mind at all times. A girl's girl, it takes her up to four hours to get ready for a night out. Nicky thinks love is "for losers", and she really hates men: "nasty little creatures" she says.

Has caused friction in the house by complaining about the lack of food. So far Nicky hast moaned alot.

Carole

Eleventh to enter the house. 53 year old sexual health worker. She is a life-long political protester. From Greenham Common to anti-war rallies, she's passionate about her beliefs and is extremely positive about life.

Seen as the mother hen of the house, Carole does not like the constant bickering and lack of disrespect by the younger housemates.

Ziggy

A very unawre Zak Lichman, 26, known as Ziggy, entered the house on Friday 1st June. He had no idea that he would be the only male to enter the house, nor did he realise that the girls had already been in the house for two days. Ziggy used to be in the cheesy pop band Northern Line. The former pop star, who joined the show on the third day, hopes to find romance in the Big Brother house.

Ziggy was the only housemate to nominate in week 1. He currently has a love interest with fellow housemate Chanelle, and has told her he would like to meet up when they get out of the house.

Gerry

Greek-born Gerry, 31, entered the house on Day 10. He is a self-professed snob and "hedonistic hypocrite" who says he is offended by "uneducated, common people" and believes his life would be vastly improved by a personal butler. His ideal housemate would be Sigmund Freud and he sees Big Brother as a "living specimen installation".The teetotaller and yoga enthusiast, who moved to the UK 12 years ago, says sex is his only vice. He has degrees in history of art and classical archaeology, but is also an admirer of Paris Hilton.

Seany

Curly-haired Michael Jackson fan Seany O'Kane also entered the house on Day 10. Charity worker Seany, 25, is originally from Derry in Northern Ireland and now lives in Manchester. He is a devoted Michael Jackson fan - even travelling to California for the pop star's child abuse trial in 2005. Seany stood outside the courtroom waving an Irish flag emblazoned with the words: "Michael, Ireland believes in you!" and wept with joy when Jackson was cleared. He sums himself up as "big hair and big attitude", and in five years would like to be living up a tree in the Lake District.

Name: Billi

Model Billi, who sometimes uses his modelling name Massimo, wants Big Brother to change his life - and thinks "mind games" and manipulation are the way to win the show.

Occupation: Model - he recently appeared at London Fashion Week and in the video for Jamelia's single, Beware Of The Dog
Love Life: Billi is single and says he likes women who are uncomplicated.
Likes: Moussaka, Essex girls, American sitcoms, WWF wrestling and in his own words "gorgeous girls, money and attention".
Dislikes: Billi doesn't believe in charity.
Why He Will Annoy Us: He suspects he will be nominated for being two-faced, arrogant and vain.
Words Of Wisdom: "I don't like women who think or women who challenge me."

Name: Jonathan

Generous Jonathan has postponed his wedding this summer to go on Big Brother. Let's hope it's worth it.

Why He Will Annoy Us: He has never seen Big Brother but says his sole motivation is "ego" - he's in it to win it at all costs.

Brian, who claims to have learned the secrets of self-hypnosis from hypnotist Paul McKenna, apparently has every episode of Big Brother stashed under his bed.
